While few people ran as a form of exercise before the 1960s, people still wore sneakers for comfort and other athletic endeavors, and many of them chose Saucony, which was founded in Pennsylvania in 1898. A formidable contender in the running shoe market, Saucony is known for its grid construction, similar to a spider web, in the shoes’ base that provides extra cushioning with every step. The improved comfort allows runners to run longer and harder than they could with a less comfortable shoe. The brand has a reputation as a manufacturer of quality sneakers -- of using innovative technologies to make better shoes. It’s precisely that dedication to quality that has allowed the brand to remain a top seller in the U.S. after more than 100 years in business. Not only can you trust their commitment to excellence, but you can also count on the brand to offer the most appealing designs and colors. Whether you’re a road runner, trail runner, or a walker, the brand makes a shoe to fit your purpose.
