Since 1995, icebreaker has been making warm, protective outdoor garments from natural wool. The company was founded for the express purpose of creating an alternative to the synthetic products that dominated the market at the time. Through the years, icebreaker has stayed true to its roots, even establishing contracts with Merino wool producers throughout the world. Each garment they produce comes with a “baacode,” so you can trace the lineage back to the very sheep that grew the wool you’re wearing. As icebreaker has grown over the years, it has expanded to what it calls its “top-to-toe solution,” producing not just jackets, but hats, vests, sweaters, pants, gloves, socks and even underwear for men, women and children.
